From the sounds of it, the Indiana Pacers are ready to embrace a rebuild. They are currently stuck in no man’s land of the NBA, as they aren’t good enough to legitimately contend for a title, but they aren’t bad enough to land a top pick in the draft.
Right now, the Pacers are 12-16. As things currently stand, Indiana would need some lottery luck to even break into the top-10 of the draft.
They are only 1.5 games out of having a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament in the Eastern Conference, but what would pushing for a playoff spot do for them? They are unlikely to challenge any of the top teams in the Eastern Conference in a first-round series, so embarking on a rebuild makes some sense.
The Pacers have three players that were mentioned as possible trade candidates; All-Star Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Caris LeVert. Rooke Chris Duarte, who is only a year younger than Sabonis, could be made available as well.

One of those teams could be the New York Knicks. There are people within New York’s front office that are fans of Turner, as the team did explore his availability in the offseason but no substantial talks were had.
Could this be the time that the Knicks strike and bring Myles Turner to The Big Apple? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical deal that would accomplish that.
