The Indiana Pacers have been the talk of the NBA world for the last week or so. It was recently revealed that they were beginning to take steps toward a rebuild and some of their most prominent players could be on the trade block.
Three players were mentioned in that piece; All-Star Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Caris LeVert. There has also been debate about whether or not their 24-year old rookie Chris Duarte, who is only one year younger than Sabonis, could be moved as well. Jeremy Lamb is another name to keep an eye on as they have been looking to move him since the offseason.
Many people thought Indiana should have shaken up their roster in the offseason. This core group had seemingly run their course and reached their ceiling. They decided to run it back, but just about a third of the way through the season, they have decided it is time for a change.
Currently, at 12-17, it makes sense. Indiana needs some new pieces in place to jump-start the organization and this is the first time they are embracing a potential rebuild.

Now the question is, who will be on the way out? The Athletic, a paid prescription website, has some more insight into that. While both Sabonis and Turner were mentioned originally, they are likely going to keep one of them.
“It’s believed to be more likely just one is moved. The Athletic reported last week that the Pacers are beginning to move toward a rebuild and are receptive to trade talks to potentially move guard Caris LeVert and either Sabonis or Turner.”
Figuring out which one will be tough. Domantas Sabonis would likely bring back a better trade package as a two-time All-Star. However, there is a good chance that Myles Turner will be the more popular option on the trade block, which could create a bidding war and the Indiana Pacers receiving a great deal in return.

Both players should net Indiana a return that will jump-start their rebuild. There will be a large number of teams interested in both, as they are young enough that even fringe playoff teams could get in on the bidding to try and improve their rosters for years to come.
