Most teams look to be “buyers” at the NBA Trade deadline, but Kevin Pritchard and the Indiana Pacers’ front-office better start making their signs because they are going to be hosting a yard sale prior to this season’s deadline!

The Indiana Pacers are currently 11-16 and showing no signs of improvement from a year ago, this team is on the verge of complete collapse. As a result, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that the Pacers are heading towards a rebuild and will not only answer trade calls for Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert, but Myles Turner as well.

Since being drafted 11th overall in 2015, Myles Turner has turned himself into one of the best shot-blockers in the league and has led the league in blocked shots for two of the last three seasons. So far this year, Turner is averaging 2.8 blocks per game, which is the best mark in the league once again.

Being a legit Defensive Player of the Year candidate, it seems odd that the Indiana Pacers would want to trade the 25-year-old center, but he really does not fit into what they have tried to do offensively. It is not that Turner cannot fit in, but more of the fact that the Pacers have molded him into a defensive stopper and that is it.

They do not utilize him enough offensively and as a result, his scoring output does not look as good as it should be. Myles Turner is a high-level two-way threat at the center position in this league and wherever he ends up in a trade, he will emerge as that kind player.

Having just one year left on his contract after this season and making a total of $35M through then, Turner is on a very tradeable contract and will draw interest from several teams around the league. One of those teams could very well be the Golden State Warriors.

Finally on the verge of being fully-healthy and having depth at virtually every position, the Golden State Warriors are a league-best 20-4 on the season and look like bonafide championship contenders. Steph Curry is looking like the early season favorite for MVP, Draymond Green is looking like a frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year and when Klay THompson returns from his injury, this team is going to be even better than they are now!

Their one weakness has always been in the frontcourt, hence why they could have interest in Myles Turner. However, the Warriors are about $65M over the salary cap for the season and over $40M over the luxury tax threshold.

Does Golden State even have the ability to pull off a trade for Myles Turner and become an even better defensive team than they already are? Let’s take a look at the only way the Golden State Warriors can make this trade happen with the Indiana Pacers.
