Would this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?

There are times when it could all click for a player after a trade. This is something the Washington Wizards experienced with much of the return they received in the Russell Westbrook trade and would be hoping for from Mo Bamba in this NBA trade scenario.

Bamba could bring some more depth and a new dynamic coming off the bench for a Wizards team that might be overachieving to this point of the season. He has rim protection intangibles that an option like Montrezl Harrell simply lacks.

If this continues, it remains highly unlikely that the Wizards decide to blow it up at the NBA trade deadline as once thought. Instead, they might be looking to acquire some players.

Bamba is not that star that will help the team succeed but he brings an interesting dynamic that is a bit unknown. The team would also be able to move Bryant in this deal. There are some moving parts that benefit the Wizards and would help them continue their goal of rebuilding.

It will be interesting to see how the Wizards play out over the course of the season. They will have to continue to prove that this start is not a fluke and if it is not, the Wizards could be back in a position to compete for a postseason berth.
