The Washington Wizards are off to one of the most surprising starts of the 2021-22 NBA season. They have found a bit of success early on, even after trading Russell Westbrook. Now, the front office can remain aggressive in order to acquire another intriguing piece to help down the stretch.

Mo Bamba is a former lottery pick of the Orlando Magic. During his time in the league, he has been unable to develop because of injuries. He has missed significant time on the court and this has hindered his progress.

The Magic could be looking to move him as his rookie contract comes near the end. Orlando is in a rebuilding phase and that is going to continue for years. They have a strong backcourt to build around and now it is about putting the right pieces around it.

Washington has been in a bit of a limbo period because of Bradley Beal. The All-Star has not requested a trade out of town and it is unlikely that he is going to. If the Wizards keep winning, there is really no reason to move Beal at any point this season.

Coming into the season, these were two teams that were thought to be rebuilding. That might not be the case for one of them but they can both continue to reshape. Let’s take a look at what this potential trade might look like for both sides.
