The Chicago Bulls currently find themselves at 13-8 on the season and while there is still a lot of basketball to be played, this team is definitely a contender to make the NBA Final out of the Eastern Conference this season.

Coming off four straight losing seasons in which they combined to win only 102 games, the Bulls are currently on pace to win around 50 games, which would be huge for this organization.

While they did make the playoffs numerous times in the “Jimmy Butler era,” this Bulls team just has not looked like a real contending team since the days when Derrick Rose led them to a 62-20 record and went on to win the league’s MVP award during the 2010-11 season.

Chicago made the Eastern Conference Finals that season and they could very well get back to the Eastern Conference Finals with their “Big 3” of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: This Bulls-Kings Trade Is Centered Around Marvin Bagley III

Ranking 13th in the league in offensive rating and 6th in the league in defensive rating, the Bulls are one of the more complete teams in the league and their secondary talent in Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and even Coby White have stepped up into big roles for this team.

However, Patrick Williams being out indefinitely has limited their depth on the wing and the Bulls’ bench is very underwhelming.

Ranking 28th in the league in bench points per game, the Bulls are going to have to find ways to add more talent to their team ahead of the trade deadline if they are to have a chance at beating teams like the Nets, Bucks and Heat in the playoffs.

LaVine, DeRozan and Vucevic are all All-Star-level talents and fantastic players in their own right, but they alone cannot carry this team. Having depth, especially on the wing, is essential for every NBA franchise, which is why Chicago’s roster reconstruction is not done just yet.

Do the Bulls have the ability to make some big trades ahead of this season’s NBA trade deadline? Let’s take a look at three players Chicago could target, as proposed by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley, and evaluate whether or not the Bulls should “pass or pursue” said trade targets.
