Juan Hernangomez – Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have proven to be a strong team this season on the defensive-end of the floor, but they too are a team that is going to be looking to make some additions to their roster ahead of the trade deadline.
Their bench depth is very limited and while they traded for him in the offseason, Juan Hernangomez is a player that they could look to trade away.
Juan Hernangomez has barely played for Boston this season, which is surprising given his success in Minnesota the last two seasons.
In 66 games with Minnesota prior to joining the Celtics, Hernangomez averaged 8.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and shot 35.4% from three-point range from the power-forward position.

Defensively, he is a liability, which is likely why he has not played much in Boston, but Juan Hernangomez is definitely a guy that can be a “spark” off-the-bench because of his ability to space the floor and knock down shots from the perimeter on offense.
Without Joe Harris, the Nets are going to need some more three-point shooting threats, which is why Hernangomez is a player they could realistically look to target. He is only owed $6.1M this season and the $6.6M on his deal for next season is non-guaranteed, giving the Nets the ability to waive him in the offseason with no penalties.
However, it is hard to see where Juan Hernangomez would fit in with this team right now and the big question is who would the Nets give up to acquire him?
Boston and Brooklyn are in the same division and competing with one another in the Eastern Conference, so they would not really want to help one another out, and Brooklyn does not really have the assets the Celtics need right now anyways.

There are better players for the Nets to target ahead of the trade deadline, which is why they should pass up on an opportunity to trade for Juan Hernangomez.
