Reggie Bullock – Dallas Mavericks

Dallas signed Reggie Bullock to a three-year, $30M deal this past offseason and so far, he has not lived up to the standards of his new contract. In 16 games this season, 14 of which he has come off-the-bench, Bullock is averaging 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and is struggling to find his three-point shot, shooting just 28.4% from deep.

Last season with the Knicks, Reggie Bullock shot 41% from three-point range and was a great defensive player as well, hence why he earned himself such a large contract with the Dallas Mavericks this past offseason.

If Bullock’s struggles continue, it is not a stretch to believe that the Mavericks will look to pursue a trade involving the veteran forward, which is why he could be available for a team like the Washington Wizards. Building off the idea of adding more shooting depth on the wing, Reggie Bullock is definitely the mold of a player the Wizards could utilize, but is he really worth it?

Washington would be tying themselves down to his contract, even though the final year of his contract is partially guaranteed, and the Wizards would have to give up one of their young talents to acquire him.

Reggie Bullock is a solid player and has proven to be an impactful player throughout his career, but this would be a big financial risk for the Wizards to take. He is not going to be the difference in them making a deep playoff run this season, even though he would provide some stability on the wing, which is why this trade probably is not worthwhile for the Wizards.

Cam Reddish is a less experienced wing than Reggie Bullock, but he presents a future on an affordable contract. Bullock’s contract is the deciding factor in this deal for the Wizards, which is why they should not be interested.

Verdict: Pass
