Reggie Bullock – Dallas Mavericks

Dallas signed Reggie Bullock to a three-year, $30M deal this past offseason and so far, he has not lived up to the standards of his new contract. In 16 games this season, 14 of which he has come off-the-bench, Bullock is averaging 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and is struggling to find his three-point shot, shooting just 28.4% from deep.

Last season with the Knicks, Reggie Bullock shot 41% from three-point range and was a great defensive player as well, hence why he earned himself such a large contract with the Dallas Mavericks this past offseason.

If Bullock’s struggles continue, it is not a stretch to believe that the Mavericks will look to pursue a trade involving the veteran forward, which is why he could be available for a team like the Portland Trail Blazers. Building off the idea of adding more shooting depth on the wing, Reggie Bullock is definitely the mold of a player the Blazers could utilize, but is he really worth it?

Portland would be tying themselves down to his contract, even though the final year of his contract is partially guaranteed, and the Trail Blazers would have to give up one of their key talents to acquire him since Bullock is making $9.5M this season.

Reggie Bullock is a solid player and has proven to be an impactful player throughout his career, but this would be a big financial risk for the Blazers to take and they have bench players who are averaging better numbers than him right now!

Bullock is not going to be the difference in them making a deep playoff run this season, even though he would provide some stability on the wing, which is why this trade for Reggie Bullock is not worthwhile for the Trail Blazers.
