Harrison Barnes – Sacramento Kings
Riding a 15-year playoff drought, the Sacramento Kings are inching closer and closer to extending their dreaded streak to 16 years, as the team recently fired head coach Luke Walton. With no stability within this organization and not a whole lot of talent on the floor, the Kings will likely be “sellers” at the trade deadline this season.
Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III are two obvious choices to be on the move given the drama they have dealt with over the years in Sacramento, but Harrison Barnes is another name we could see pop up in trade rumors this year.
Barnes is now in his 4th year with the Kings, 10th season overall, and has been very productive on the offensive end of the floor to begin the season. He is currently averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, steals and is shooting 47.8% from the floor, 39.8% from three-point range.
Always being a consistent two-way presence on the wing, Harrison Barnes has really continued to find success as he gains more years of experience in this league, making him a perfect trade target for the Portland Trail Blazers.

While they do have Robert Covington, moving the veteran power-forward and either Larry Nance Jr. or Jusuf Nurkic for Barnes definitely has its advantages for the Blazers.
Harrison Barnes makes them a better offensive team and quite honestly he would not hurt them defensively either since he is averaging a career-high 1.0 steals per game on the defensive end of the floor.
If the Blazers were to trade Nurkic, they would be thin at center with only Cody Zeller, but maybe they could get someone like Alex Len, Damian Jones, or Chimezie Metu from the Kings in this deal for Harrison Barnes as well.
At the end of the day, the Portland Trail Blazers are going to need more talent on offense if they are to have an actual chance of contending for a title in the Western Conference.

This trade gives them another versatile weapon to play around with at the cost of potentially two guys in the final year of their contracts. Harrison Barnes is definitely the best available trade target for the Portland Trail Blazers based on fit and style of play.
