Denver Nuggets
Acquiring Aaron Gordon at the trade deadline last year was a big move the Denver Nuggets made and this year, they may have to make yet another big move to remain contenders in the Western Conference.
Jamal Murray is currently out and rehabbing from an ACL injury suffered last April, so the team is not expecting him back anytime before February 2022 and now, they could wind up being without Michael Porter Jr. for the rest of the season due to a nerve issue in his back.
If Porter is going to miss the rest of the year, this leaves a big scoring hole on the wing for the Nuggets, one that Will Barton would not be able to fill on his own.
With limited cap space, the Nuggets are kind of limited on moves they could make, but they do have the capability to add some impactful players on the wing in their second unit.

The Denver Nuggets have a $2.19M TPE and a $1.62M TPE that they could look to use in order to add a low-cost player on the wing, but they could also look to leverage guys like JaMychal Green, Facundo Campazzo, and Zeke Nnaji, all of which are on moveable contracts and could draw some interest around the league.
One key name to keep an eye on in regards to the Denver Nuggets this season in trade talks is veteran wing Terrence Ross. Being with the Magic for the last six or so seasons, Ross is likely going to be moved near the deadline this year since Orlando is rebuilding and trying to phase out some of their veteran talents.
Being owed $12.5M this season and then $11.5M next season, the Nuggets would have a hard time bringing another bigger contract in, but they could move JaMychal Green and Zeke Nnaji or Facundo Campazzo to make the money work.
Ross would be a big-time addition for them on the wing to try and replace Michael Porter Jr.’s offensive production. Plus, he is friends with Aaron Gordon dating back to their days playing in Orlando together.

Denver currently ranks 26th in the league in bench points and being one of the better bench players in the league a season ago, Terrence Ross could help maintain this team’s position near the top of the Western Conference standings.
