Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Brandon Ingram, G/F Garrett Temple
Sacramento Kings Receive: G/F Ben Simmons
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: G Buddy Hield, F Marvin Bagley III, SAC 2022 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected), SAC 2024 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected)

Ben Simmons has remained adamant on the fact that he wants to be traded and earlier this offseason, he welcomed a trade to a team in California. This past summer, Simmons bought a $17.5M farmhouse in Hidden Hills, which could be one of his motivating factors for wanting to go west.

Nonetheless, with the Sacramento Kings recently firing head coach Luke Walton, they could be willing to finally make a big move to try and make a playoff push this season under interim head coach Alvin Gentry.

The 76ers have been unwilling to talk about trades with Sacramento involving Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III, the Kings’ two best trade assets, but the Pelicans could be interested in acquiring both players should Ingram want out.

The Pelicans are not in a position to win right now necessarily, as they continue to find ways to add more youthful talent on their roster, but they would like to try and make a real playoff push if possible.

Given their terrible start, making the playoffs this year seems like a stretch, but they could remain somewhat relevant with the additions of Hield and Bagley next to Zion Williamson, Devonte Graham and Jonas Valanciunas.

Philadelphia does not get any draft compensation from this trade, but the longer they wait to move Simmons, the more his value is going to begin to deteriorate, resulting in the 76ers taking back less value than they would hope to get in a trade involving Ben Simmons.

Ultimately, if they can get an All-Star in return for Simmons, the 76ers are going to be interested in any trade offered to them involving said All-Star because they want to end all the drama within their organization.

With Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and other high-level talents, the Sixers truly believe they can make a run to the NBA Finals this year, they just need that other All-Star on their roster.

By adding Brandon Ingram, the Sixers could possibly make a real run in the Eastern Conference and they would definitely be a much deadlier offensive team than they already are. Everything hinders on the fact that Brandon Ingram will request a trade though and currently, there are no signs of this.
