Denver Nuggets Receive: G Terrence Ross
Boston Celtics Receive: F JaMychal Green
Orlando Magic Receive: F Juancho Hernangomez, F Zeke Nnaji, BOS 2022 2nd Round Pick

The best way for the Nuggets to potentially acquire Terrence Ross is via a multi-team deal and they would have to be willing to part ways with veteran forward JaMychal Green. Denver did sign Green to a two-year, $16.4M deal this past offseason, but he is only averaging 14.2 minutes per game this season and his role with Denver is minimal.

While he is ineligible to be traded until after the December 15 deadline for recently signed players, the Nuggets could realistically look to move JaMychal Green while he still holds some value. His market may be low, but a team like the Boston Celtics should definitely be interested in the veteran.

Boston needs another frontcourt talent, specifically at the power-forward position, and having the ability to stretch the floor next to All-Star talents, Green definitely seems like he would be a solid fit with the Celtics.

Not to mention, Boston has multiple trade exceptions that need to be used this year and they could use a $9.7M TPE they created when they traded Tristan Thompson to the Kings in order to acquire JaMychal Green in this deal with the Nuggets and Magic.

As for Orlando, they are rebuilding and not only looking for ways to get their young talents more playing time, but add more athletic players at any position. Zeke Nnaji was drafted in the first-round by the Nuggets in 2020 and possesses a lot of potential to be a versatile forward in this league.

Denver is high on Nnaji to possibly be a key frontcourt player next to Jokic for years to come, but they would have to be willing to part ways with either him or Facundo Campazzo in a trade to acquire Terrence Ross. Orlando has no use for another guard, hence why they would favor Zeek Nnaji in this trade.

Replacing Michael Porter Jr.’s production is not going to be an easy thing for Denver to do and adding Terrence Ross does not solve the problem, but he would be another experienced player on their roster that they can rely on for offensive production.

Ross is not the difference in the Nuggets making it far into the playoffs this year, but you know what you are getting with him on the offensive-end of the floor, which is more than can be said about half this Nuggets’ roster right now.

Denver is going to have to be willing to part ways with some key assets, but acquiring Terrence Ross may be the best move they can make ahead of the trade deadline this year.
