Danuel House Jr. – Houston Rockets

Like both the Pistons and Thunder, the Houston Rockets are going to be open for business at the trade deadline this year and are looking to move on from some of their veteran players if possible.

Trading John Wall is something that will not happen at the trade deadline this year, but Eric Gordon, D.J. Augustin, and Danuel House Jr. are definitely possible trade targets for teams around the league.

Gordon and Augustin may be out of the Nugget’s pay range, but Danuel House Jr. is definitely a player Denver should consider on the wing because of his three-point shooting abilities.

With Porter out indefinitely, the Denver Nuggets lose shooting production on the perimeter, which is why House could come in handy for them to utilize.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr. Could Miss Rest Of Season

For his career, Danuel House Jr. has shot 36.2% from three-point range and has been a part of numerous playoff-contending teams in Houston over the years. Losing Michael Porter Jr. definitely puts the Nuggets in a bad situation in regards to contending for a title, but as long as Jokic is still healthy, this team has a chance to go far in the playoffs.

House’s playoff experience and the fact that he is in the final year of his contract definitely makes him a valuable player for the Nuggets to add on the wing, even if he does not seem a whole lot of playing time.

His $3.8M contract is above the limit for both of Denver’s trade exceptions, but again, they have players like Zeke Nnaji, Facundo Campazzo, and even Bol Bol on their bench who are all tradeable players given their value to this team. Who knows if Denver favors any of these guys over someone like Danuel House Jr. but the Rockets’ wing could definitely hold some value on this Nuggets’ team.

None of these three guys are the difference in the Nuggets making a deep playoff run this season and while Danuel House Jr. is not this kind of player either, he gives this team some more depth on the wing, something they do not have a lot of right now.

This situation with Porter is definitely going to be an interesting one to watch in Denver, especially since Jamal Murray is still out. What the Nuggets decide to do could greatly impact the Western Conference this year, as well as their chances to succeed moving forward.
