2. Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have been linked to plenty of names in the backcourt since the offseason. Dallas made a big move in bringing back Tim Hardaway Jr. and of course, signing Luka Doncic to an extension. This is the type of move that can keep the team in contention for years to come.
Goran Dragic is the type of backup that could help coming off the bench. Jalen Brunson has been productive for Dallas coming off the bench in recent years.
Dragic would solidify the backcourt in the second unit. This is not saying that Dragic would become a starting guard for the Dallas Mavericks but he has that capability if needed. He has experience playing with stars and knows how to defer when needed.
The Mavericks have one of the best players in the league and building around Doncic is the goal. Adding another veteran with postseason experience will never hurt.
