3. Eric Gordon
The Houston Rockets are currently in the midst of what could turn out to be the worst season in NBA history. They are on pace to have the lowest winning percentage in the history of the league, but they had to be prepared for that when they stripped down the roster in the fashion that they did.
They are going to be a team that is active at the trade deadline as sellers with multiple veterans that could be on the move. The team is hoping to move John Wall, but a player like Eric Gordon would be a little easier to move.
The Boston Celtics could use a player with Gordon’s skill set. He has been excellent at shooting the ball from long-range this season, knocking down 46.4 percent of his 3-point attempts. Even more encouraging is that he has been relatively healthy, playing in 12 out of the team’s 15 games thus far.
Boston would benefit greatly from having his scoring punch on the second unit. The team does not have anyone on their bench that can heat up in that fashion to put the ball in the basket if Dennis Schroder is in the starting lineup.

The only downside to acquiring Gordon is that he is signed through 2024. He will eat up some future cap space, but his big contract could require less compensation in a return package.
