Tis’ the season for teams to begin talking to each other about potential trades! We have not seen any trades yet through the first handful of weeks of the 2021-22 NBA season, but teams around the league are beginning to prepare for December 15. 

Why is December 15 so important to teams around the league? Players who were signed in the offseason are ineligible to be traded before then, opening the door for moves to be made in the near future. 

It still remains a possibility that we may not see many trades made until the trade deadline, as we saw eight deals made prior to last year’s deadline, but there will definitely be teams discussing assets and personnel in December. 

In Philadelphia, Ben Simmons continues to remain a key topic of discussion and we are now in Month #5 of Simmons wanting out of Philly, yet the teams remains adamant on the fact that they want him back. Will the 3x All-Star be moved at some point this year or is Daryl Morey and this front-office truly going to wait and continue to fine Ben Simmons?
