Detroit hit the lottery and got the chance to land Cade Cunningham in this year’s draft. He was the clear top prospect and will now join a strong, young core. This includes all-rookie selections Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart.
The Pistons have been one of the worst teams in the league for years now and that could change if they hit on a couple more moves. Jerami Grant remains the biggest trade piece, especially after the season that he was able to put up this season. Grant has plenty of value and will be valuable for any team.
The Wizards could be that team. Washington was a postseason team last year but was not taken seriously as championship contenders. The duo of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook got hot at the end of the year and led Washington back to the postseason.
