How This Trade Impacts Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are holding out for the best deal possible when it comes to Ben Simmons. Daryl Morey has had a hardline stance on what the team wants back in return for him. Knowing that it would be shocking if they took part in this three-team deal.
They aren’t coming away with any of the three best players on the move in this three-team scenario. Despite trading away Simmons, they aren’t getting back the All-Star caliber player they have been holding out for.
The best piece the 76ers are getting back in this deal is the unprotected 2022 first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors. But, that pick could very easily be the last one in the first round with how they have performed thus far this season.
Andrew Wiggins and Jaden McDaniels are solid players, but they aren’t going to move the needle much for Philadelphia. They have been adamant that they want a difference-maker in return for Simmons and this deal does not meet that criteria.

The 76ers would be the only team to not want to take part in this 3-team deal. They are coming away with the weakest package despite parting ways with Simmons and a future second-round pick.
