Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, F Jaden McDaniels, GSW 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)

All offseason long, the Philadelphia 76ers have been looking to trade Ben Simmons, but they have been unable to find the trade they like. Who knows if Andrew Wiggins, Jaden McDaniels, and a draft pick would be enough for them to trade him ahead of the trade deadline, but Minnesota has been very high on Simmons lately.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly not been in contact with the 76ers for weeks in regards to a possible Ben Simmons trade, but that does not mean they are not still interested in the 3x All-Star.

The Golden State Warriors have been a team long linked to Karl-Anthony Towns over the years and their interest in him should not be too surprising. With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green still in the primes of their careers and Klay Thompson returning, now would be the time for this front-office to add another All-Star like Towns to their roster in order to possibly win another title.

Sacrificing Wiggins and Wiseman is not something they necessarily want to do right now, but if Towns was available, Bob Myers would be on the phone trying to acquire the 2x All-Star center.

For years now, the Warriors have not had reliable play at the center position and with Towns being just 26-years-old, he could be both a contributor now and in the future for this championship-contending organization.

For Minnesota, moving on from Towns is not a possibility right now, but the idea of adding Simmons and Wiseman is definitely intriguing. Both guys are young, athletic 7-footers who could fill various needs for this Timberwolves team.

Next to Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, and other young talents, the Minnesota Timberwolves would be much improved defensively and have a strong foundation of Simmons, Edwards, Russell, and Wiseman to build off of for the foreseeable future. Not to mention, they would also be getting a second-round pick this year and a future first-round pick from the Warriors.
