3 Trade Targets For Wizards To Help Make Playoff Push

Washington Wizards, NBA Trade Rumors, Bradley Beal
NBA Analysis Network

Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook took the Washington Wizards to the NBA playoffs last year after they entered the All-Star break with one of the worst records in the league, but this year’s Wizards team seems to have a different feel to it.

Not only has this team begun the season with a 5-3 record, just 1.5 games back from the Miami Heat for first place in the Eastern Conference, but they have a lot more balance and depth up and down their roster than they had last season.

Bradley Beal is still their leading scorer, but now Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Spencer Dinwiddie, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and others are able to take an enormous amount of pressure off of the All-Star shooting guard.

Losing to just the Hawks, Nets, and Raptors so far this year, two playoff teams from a year ago, the Washington Wizards have been as solid as they could be early on in the year with a completely new-looking roster. As they continue to play together, this team is only going to get better too, which is why wins early on could really make a difference for a team like Washington.

The offseason additions of Dinwiddie, Kuzma, and Harrell have been huge factors in the Wizards winning games to this point in the new season, but they very well could look to make some more additions to their roster at some point this season.

Assuming they continue to play well through the end of 2021 and heading into 2022, the Wizards could look to be “buyers” at the trade deadline. With some moveable contracts and first-round picks they can leverage, the Wizards have the ability to add some more talent to their roster, but who should they look to target?
