The 2021-22 NBA season is approaching the conclusion of its second week and there are already teams looking like they will regret some of the decisions they made or failed to make during the offseason.

Some teams, such as the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat are thrilled in the early going. They are pacing the atop the Eastern Conference, jumping out to strong starts.

The Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers have to be excited as well with how their rookies Scottie Barnes and Evan Mobley look despite having rosters that many people aren’t expecting a ton of wins from. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Eastern Conference has three teams with only one win; the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic.

In the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz are leading the way, also with 5-1 records. The Warriors bolstered their roster with veterans to help carry the load, while the Jazz remained put and continue to roll through teams.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings have to be encouraged by their starts thus far, starting 3-3 and 3-3 respectively. Bringing up the rear in the Western Conference are the Oklahoma City Thunder, LA Clippers, Houston Rockets, and New Orleans Pelicans.

For every team that is off to a hot start, there is a team struggling out of the gate. Mid-November, when a lot of restrictions for recently signed and traded players are lifted, we could see some trade talks pick up.
