The 2021-22 NBA season could not have started out any better for the Chicago Bulls, as they have won 5 of their first 6 games and are currently one of the best teams in the NBA.

The offseason additions of DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso have elevated the play of this entire team and their “Big 3” of DeRozan, LaVine, and Vucevic has been as good as any other trio in the league.

Not making the playoffs since the 2016-17 season, the Chicago Bulls look like they are well on their way to snapping their current playoff drought, but there is still plenty of basketball yet to be played this season and anything can happen!

In fact, the Bulls’ are currently dealing with some injuries to key players, as second-year forward Patrick Williams is in danger of missing the rest of the season due to a perilunate dislocation of his left wrist and All-Star Zach LaVine is currently dealing with a left thumb sprain. With Williams now out indefinitely, the Bulls are left kind of thin on the wing and in their frontcourt, which is why they could look to add another forward at some point during the season.

They may not have many draft picks to trade away due to previous trades that were made, but Coby White is a very interesting name on the Bulls’ roster right now. White is currently recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and has been a key combo-guard for them since being drafted 7th overall by Chicago in 2019, but the Bulls could look to trade him ahead of the trade deadline this season.

With one more year on his rookie contract after this season, Coby White is definitely a valuable young talent in this league that could be intriguing for a team like the Toronto Raptors.
