1. New York Knicks
There was a lot of chatter about the moves, or lack thereof, that the New York Knicks made this offseason. Armed with plenty of assets to make a big trade, the organization decided to stand pat for the most part.
No big trades were made, as the Knicks retained most of their free agents, re-signing Derrick Rose, Nerlens No,el, and Alec Burks. Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier were acquired to replace Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock.
Many people questioned the moves, but thus far, the Knicks are rolling. They have one of the most explosive offenses in the NBA as head coach Tom Thibodeau has done a wonderful job marrying his old-school defensive tactics with a new-school offensive approach.
New York is letting it fly from deep and doing it effectively. They are leading the NBA in 3-pointers made with the second-best percentage in the league. Every regular rotation player is averaging at least 5.3 points per game right now as the Knicks have arguably the deepest team in the association.

Right now, Immanuel Quickley is the only rotation player without a PER above league average; league average is 15. Arguably the scariest part about the New York Knicks is that Julius Randle has yet to truly get going yet is still pacing the team with 20.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game.
This team is legit and will be making noise throughout the 2021-22 season in the Eastern Conference. Bing Bong!
