3. Miami Heat
The Miami Heat had an up-and-down 2020-21 season. After advancing to the NBA Finals in the Orlando Bubble, they struggled to replicate that success. They were bounced out of the first round of the 2021 playoffs as they got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks.
They came into the offseason looking to make some changes and accomplished that. They acquired Kyle Lowry in a sign-and-trade from the Toronto Raptors and signed P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris. Last season’s struggles look like a distant memory.
Miami is blowing teams out on a nightly basis. They have the best point differential in the NBA at +17. They are 5-1, with their only loss being an 11-point defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers in overtime.
That loss was the closest game of the season for Miami, as they have won every game by at least 13 points thus far this season. 3 players, Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo, are averaging at least 20 points per game. Butler leads the way with 25.3, as Herro has taken off as the team’s sixth man.

If the Heat can play offense at this level, they are going to be tough to beat. They are a stellar defensive team already, so if the adjustments offensively are legitimate, watch out.
