The Los Angeles Lakers landed their superstar point guard this NBA offseason but that does not mean that they are not interested in adding some more depth at the position. This is where the Chicago Bulls could come up in a trade at some point.

The Lakers made the biggest splash of the offseason when they made a deal for Russell Westbrook. They acquired Westbrook from the Washington Wizards and this gave them that star option at the top of the offense.

The Lakers were interested in adding a third star with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. This is what they did and they are now favorites in the Western Conference — coming a year after Los Angeles was eliminated in the first round of the postseason after a year full of injuries. They could continue to build depth at the top of the offense.

The Bulls were aggressive this offseason. Chicago made it clear that they were interested in adding pieces to go with Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. It began in free agency when Chicago signed Lonzo Ball to a four-year deal.
