We need to start by saying that there may not be many teams willing to take a risk on Kyrie Irving given his situation.

Mark Cuban has publically said that he will require members of the Dallas Mavericks to be vaccinated unless they have a doctor’s reason. That could complicate the idea of a hypothetical trade for Irving when it comes to the Mavericks.

However, when speaking about purely basketball, Irving would be an ideal option for Dallas.

Irving would be going from a former point guard in Steve Nash as his head coach to a former point guard in Jason Kidd if he were to be traded to the Mavericks.
