The Sacramento Kings were in the market to make some moves during the NBA offseason. They have two players they want to move on from in Marvin Bagley III and Buddy Hield. But, as we head into the second week of the season, both are still with the team.
Bagley has been removed from the rotation, clouding his future as the Kings aren’t helping improve his value by not playing him. Hield, on the other hand, continues to show that he is one of the truly elite shooters in the league.
Hield has made 12 3-pointers through three games, surpassing the franchise record for 3-pointers that was previously held by Peja Stojakovic. But, it is fair to question how many more makes he will have while wearing a Sacramento Kings jersey.
Sacramento essentially traded Buddy Hield during the offseason. A deal was so close to being done with the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft that Kuzma thought he was a King.
