Best Trade Destination No. 1: Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have kicked off their rebuild this season with a full-on youth movement. Eric Gordon and D.J. Augustin are the only two active players on the roster that are in their 30’s. Houston plays more teenagers currently than 30-year olds.

With such a youthful roster, a player like Marvin Bagley III would be worth taking a shot on. Bagley has a lot of potential, he just has not been able to realize it with the Sacramento Kings. With Houston, he would have a chance at developing.

Depending on who is sent back to Sacramento in the deal, Bagley could have a path to consistent minutes right out of the gate. With there being some rumors that the Rockets could eventually trade Christian Wood as well, another spot in the rotation could open up down the line.

Bagley could provide the team with some interior scoring, something they are not currently getting much of. We’re only a few games into the regular season, but Wood is the only big man averaging double-figure points for Houston right now.

Small forward Jae’Sean Tate is second on the team in rebounding behind Wood as well. That is another area that Bagley would help the team out, as he has been a solid rebounder throughout his first three seasons in the NBA.
