Pascal Siakam – Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are interested in possibly adding Ben Simmons to their roster, but they have not made Pascal Siakam available in any trade talks.

Earlier this offseason, the Kings were a team “highly interested” in adding Pascal Siakam to their roster. Still, the Raptors were not willing to trade their All-Star forward for any of the assets Sacramento was offering up.

Maybe this was because the Kings did not have another All-Star to give back in a trade, but moving Siakam for Simmons may not be a bad idea for the Raptors.

After drafting Scottie Barnes fourth overall in this year’s draft, the Raptors have an abundance of talent at their forward positions, and Ben Simmons can play the power forward position.

Not to mention, Siakam has probably reached the peak of his career already, whereas Ben Simmons still has the potential to be one of the best two-way players in the league given his size, athleticism, and ball-handling skills for a 7-footer.

For Philadelphia, getting Pascal Siakam gives them arguably the best frontcourt in the league with Siakam and Embiid, plus they would still have Seth Curry as their best three-point shooting threat and Tobias Harris as their No. 3 scoring option.

This is not a terrible team at all and the addition of a guy like Siakam definitely gives the Philadelphia 76ers that extra little bit of production on offense to remain a championship contender with the likes of the Nets and Bucks in the Eastern Conference.

The Raptors would likely have to sacrifice some more assets for Pascal Siakam, which may cause Daryl Morey to look elsewhere in a possible Simmons trade, but overall, targeting Pascal Siakam is probably the 76ers best option at this point as they continue to look to trade Simmons for an All-Star-level player.

Toronto can be convinced to give him up and he is a more complete player than Ben Simmons right now, giving the Sixers everything they would need on both ends of the court to try and claim the 1-seed once again.

Now through 5 seasons in the NBA, Siakam has turned himself into a two-way All-Star, and over the last two seasons with the Raptors, he has averaged 22.1 points, 7.3 rounds, 1.1 steals and has shot 45.4% from the floor.
