Would this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
The Philadelphia 76ers do not need much else in the rotation to be a top team in the Eastern Conference but still remain focused on landing a superstar in return for Ben Simmons in any potential trade. Of course, that could change down the line if Simmons continues to be disruptive with no elite talent on the trade block.
The 76ers finished as the No. 1 seed a year ago but were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs. With Simmons gone, Philadelphia could add more production and OG Anunoby would check quite a few boxes.
While the 76ers still wouldn’t have a dynamic perimeter star to take a lot of pull-up jumper and run high ball screens, the team does have no shortage of shooters including the likes of Seth Curry and Danny Green.
Embiid is a strong passer when double-teamed down low so it benefits Sixers to have shooters on the perimeter. Philadelphia would be able to rely more on him while adding more opportunities to handle the ball out in space as a playmaker.

The Raptors remain a dark-horse team to land Simmons but they would have the package to put together if Philadelphia is interested.
