The Brooklyn Nets have made their stance clear when it comes to the Kyrie Irving situation. If the NBA superstar is not going to be a full-time player, he will not be a part of the team.

Irving has remained steadfast in not receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. As a result of that, he is ineligible to play in games at Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden.

Not interested in having a part-time player, the Nets decided Irving would not be with the team until he is eligible for every game the team plays.

With Irving sidelined, people have wondered whether or not the Nets would entertain the idea of trading him. Earlier in the offseason that seemed far-fetched, but now, it sounds as if Brooklyn is at least open to listening to offers for their mercurial point guard.

Figuring out what the Nets could get in a trade back for Irving is tough. Teams are wary because it has been reported that he would retire if traded. He also has a player option for the 2022-23 season, so he could become a free agent next summer.

One team that could be interested in him is the San Antonio Spurs. Zach Lowe named them, along with the Miami Heat, as teams that would make sense for Irving to land with. Here is one hypothetical deal that would land Irving in San Antonio.
