Wiggins was a bit of a question mark up until recently due to his COVID-19 vaccine status. However, he went ahead and got the vaccine and will be ready to go this season.
With the season about to get underway, Wiggins made a bold statement ahead of the season opener. He thinks the Warriors are without a doubt an NBA Finals contender.

Golden State will need Wiggins to back up his words with his play on the court. He has been a key piece over the last couple of years and will be needed to be just that again. Thankfully, Wiggins has been improving on both ends of the court since being traded to the Warriors.
Last season with the Warriors, Wiggins ended up averaging 18.6 points per game to go along with 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.9 steals. He shot 47.7 percent from the floor overall and knocked down a career-high 38 percent of his three-point attempts. Wiggins has improved drastically and the Warriors would love to see even more improvement from him this year.
Assuming Klay Thompson can stay healthy, Stephen Curry stays healthy, and Wiggins plays like he did last season, the Warriors are going to be tough to beat. Draymond Green is still an elite defensive presence, Wiseman is a very talented big man, and Jordan Poole appears to be primed for a massive year if his preseason play means anything.
