The Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship in 2015, 2017, and 2018, making the NBA Finals for five consecutive seasons from 2015-2019, but they have failed to make the playoffs in the last two seasons.

In fact, Golden State has finished with a combined 54-83 record over the last two years, which is fewer wins they had during the 2014-15 season through the 2018-19 season. Obviously, injuries have limited what the Warriors could achieve over the years, but the 2021-22 season is going to be a critical year for this franchise.

Bob Myers and the Warriors’ front office have once again constructed a team that they believe can contend for a title and it is easy to believe that they could, assuming they can actually stay healthy.

Stephen Curry is coming off an MVP-like season and arguably the best season of his career, Draymond Green is coming off a terrific all-around year and with the additions of Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica, and others this offseason, Golden State definitely has a shot to not only make the playoffs again but compete in the Western Conference.

However, this does not mean the Warriors are done making moves just yet. There were some serious discussions around the NBA Draft that the Warriors were looking to add another All-Star-level talent and this may still be true.

They love the potential both Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman bring to the table, but this organization wants to win another title and this year may ultimately be their best shot to do so.

Wiggins and Wiseman are two valuable, pretty young assets for any team in this league to add, which is why Golden State could look to trade both of them at some point during the 2021-22 season.

Adding another high-level, impactful player(s) to their roster is essential for this team to make it back to the playoffs and NBA Finals, so could the Warriors strike a deal with the team that beat them in the 2019 NBA Finals, the Toronto Raptors?

Let’s take a look at a trade proposal put together by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report that involves Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman going to Toronto in exchange for three key contributors.
