The days of Chris Paul running things in New Orleans are long gone and now, this franchise is run by two young NBA All-Stars in Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
Ingram came over to the New Orleans Pelicans in the massive 2019 trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers and since joining the team, Brandon Ingram has elevated his game to a new level.
Not only has the young wing averaged 23.8 points in back-to-back seasons now, but in his first season with the Pelicans, Ingram made the All-Star game for the first time in his career, as well as won the league’s Most Improved Player award.
That same year, the Pelicans also drafted Zion Williamson first overall to pair with Brandon Ingram. Being one of the most hyped-up basketball players to enter the NBA since LeBron James, expectations were high for Zion and he delivered. He only played in 24 games during his rookie campaign due to a knee injury, but last season, Williamson set the bar high for himself.

The former No. 1 overall pick averaged 27.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and shot 61.1% from the floor, not only making his first All-Star game but solidifying himself as one of the best frontcourt players in the entire league.
When he gets in the paint, Zion almost never misses his opportunity to score, which is why big things are expected from him in his third season.
Both Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are young All-Stars that are going to continue to develop their games even further, but at the same time, this Pelicans team is slowly getting better.
