This Lakers-Thunder Trade Lands Intriguing Wing In L.A.

The Los Angeles Lakers revamped their entire roster this offseason. They will have more new faces on their team this season than any other team in the NBA.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Talen Horton-Tucker are the only players that are coming back from last season’s roster. While there will be a ton of new faces, there are some that have at least played with this group previously.

Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo were on the NBA Championship team from 2020 in the Orlando Bubble and returned to the team this offseason. Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, and Trevor Ariza have all previously played for the Lakers at one time.

The only players with zero ties to the purple and gold are Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk, Kendrick Nunn, DeAndre Jordan, and Carmelo Anthony.

Rob Pelinka is hoping that this team will be able to find chemistry and mesh under head coach Frank Vogel. There will be some bumps in the road with so many new faces, but any team with James and Davis will have a chance to win every night.

With Trevor Ariza sidelined for the foreseeable future with Talen Horton-Tucker now joining him due to thumb surgery, there is a greater need for the Lakers to land another wing talent.

But, if there is a need that arises, Pelinka will assuredly be working the phones to fill it. The Oklahoma City Thunder could present one possible option for the team during the season.
