As we inch closer to the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, we also inch closer to a possible Ben Simmons trade. For what seems like forever now, the 76ers have been looking to trade Simmons, but they have been unable to find a deal that is favorable to them.

The reason for this is because Daryl Morey and the Sixers’ front-office want an All-Star-level talent in return for any trade involving Ben Simmons.

The 76ers absolutely should want this kind of value, as Simmons has a chance to still grow into one of the best two-way superstars in the league, but no team has been willing to part ways with their All-Star this close to the season.

Philadelphia is kind of stuck right now in terms of what they can do with Ben Simmons and with him currently holding out, this team could really take a hit early on in the season.
