For what seems like forever now, the Philadelphia 76ers have been looking to move NBA All-Star Ben Simmons in a trade, but they have not been able to get the trade package they desire.

Daryl Morey and the Sixers’ front-office would like an All-Star-like talent in return for Simmons, and rightfully so, but the only problem that exists is that no team is looking to move their All-Star talents at the moment, especially with the new seasons set to begin in about two weeks!

This situation between Simmons and the 76ers organization is just getting worse and worse each day and now, there appears to be no end in sight in the 3x All-Star’s holdout. Ben Simmons did not report to the team’s media day last Monday and has yet to report to Philly’s facilities for team training camp.

Most recently, the 76ers did not pay Simmons his first advancement from his $33M contract this season and are holding this $8.25M payout until he shows up to the team.

LATEST NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Indiana Pacers Could Be “Sleeper” Team For Ben Simmons Trade

The 76ers organization does appear to be willing to negotiate with the 7-footer and they do appear to want him back, but this could just be a ploy for Simmons to return only so his value on the trade market can increase, thus giving the 76ers the trade package they are seeking.

Unless they are willing to come down on their price a little bit, it does not seem like Philadelphia is going to be able to move Ben Simmons, but one team that has emerged as a “sleeper” team in this whole ordeal is the Indiana Pacers. With a ton of valuable and moveable players on their roster, plus their interest rumored in Simmons this past summer, the Pacers may actually be able to put together a decent trade package for the All-Star.
