1. Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic are entering a rebuild. Two of their cornerstones, Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon, were traded at the deadline to the Chicago Bulls and Denver Nuggets. Terrence Ross is the last remaining veteran that could be on the move at some point.
Orlando has compiled a solid core of young players and draft picks courtesy of those trades. They have logjams at a few spots, so why not use some of the excesses they have and convert it into a player of Ben Simmons’s stature?
The Orlando Magic could build an intriguing package with the amount of depth they have. Philadelphia should be looking for a point guard in return for any deal they do with Simmons.
The Magic have a bunch in Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, R.J. Hampton, and rookie Jalen Suggs.

Do the 76ers want to bolster their frontcourt as well in a return package for Simmon? Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., Jonathan Isaac, and Chuma Okeke could fit the bill. Ross can also be included to help match salary.
The Magic also has a boatload of draft picks they can include helping facilitate a deal. Philadelphia could then use some of those assets to build a package to land another All-Star player or help sweeten a package that includes Tobias Harris.

The Orlando Magic haven’t been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Simmons, but they could certainly build an intriguing package or be part of a three-team deal that helps get a deal done that lands the 25-year old with a new team before the 2021-22 season begins.
