The Los Angeles Lakers have had an eventful offseason. They will be welcoming a lot of new faces for the 2021-22 NBA season, as they will have at least 10 new players on their roster on opening night.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Talen Horton-Tucker are the only holdovers from last season’s roster that are on the team this season. There are a few familiar faces, as Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo are returning to the team after helping win the NBA Championship in the Orlando Bubble.

Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Kent Bazemore have all played with the Lakers previously in their careers as well. Carmelo Anthony, Malik Monk, Kendrick Nunn, DeAndre Jordan were four more free-agent signings who will be making their Laker debuts this season.

Russell Westbrook was the team’s biggest acquisition. Rob Pelinka acquired him in a trade with the Washington Wizards which saw Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft head east.
