The Philadelphia 76ers offseason has been a hectic one when it comes to NBA trade rumors. Following their elimination from the playoffs at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks, trade chatter quickly picked up centered around Ben Simmons.

Simmons had a difficult postseason once again when it came to the offensive side of the ball. While his playmaking remained at a high level, his reluctance or downright refusal in some cases, to shoot the ball ultimately derailed the 76ers’ offense.

The tone of head coach Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid following the Game 7 loss was as negative as any when it came to Simmons. It sounded as if their confidence in the former No. 1 overall pick was waning and that a change of scenery could be best for both parties.

Despite his value being the lowest of his career, the 76ers did begin having trade talks centered around Simmons. The interest in him was high, but the 76ers asking price was astronomical. The packages they reportedly asked the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors for in exchange for Simmons were outrageous, as multiple starters or high draft picks were asked for.

Trade talks recently picked up again, as the 76ers are extremely motivated to make a deal. With Simmons cutting off communication with the organization and reportedly willing to skip training camp as well, it seems to be a matter of when, not if, the former LSU product is traded.

Despite these issues, there are still plenty of teams that would love to acquire a player like Simmons. Here are three teams that are best positioned to make a late-offseason trade for him.
