Will Jalen Brunson get some time at the starting point guard spot?
The growth of Jalen Brunson has been impressive to watch in recent years since his college days at Villanova. Brunson rarely saw playing time early in his career, but he’s evolved into a premier bench player for the Dallas Mavericks in recent years.
Just this past season, Brunson recorded a career-best 12.6 points per game on 52.3 percent shooting from the field and 40.5 percent shooting from deep.
While Doncic handles the majority of the ball-handling duties, the Mavericks could benefit from having someone that can orchestrate the offense at point guard.
Dallas has spoken highly of Brunson’s development, and with Brunson in a contract year, he could finally crack the starting lineup in 2021-22.
