Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
It is unknown what the relationship between Buddy Hield and the Sacramento Kings is like at this point. There were trade rumors around the NBA that he wanted out last season but was then put back into the starting lineup when there was a hole in the rotation.
During the offseason, those talks intensified much further. Hield was nearly moved to the Los Angeles Lakers before they shifted course to pulling off the Russell Westbrook trade.
When looking at what they would be getting back, the Kings might not find a better offer in many other places. They already have a franchise point guard to build around and must keep De’Aaron Fox in town long-term.
The front office has to put the right pieces around him, and the team has to begin with. There is plenty of work to be done, but Dallas has rotation players that could contribute to Sacramento right away.

Ultimately, this is what the Kings should be looking for. Fox is already in place at the top of the offense and should not be going anywhere, and Sacramento needs to take advantage of any value that Hield currently has in a trade.
