Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Buddy Hield, F Robert Woodard II, C Damian Jones
Sacramento Kings Receive: C Dwight Powell, F Maxi Kleber, G Trey Burke, 2022 Second Round Pick
Buddy Hield would be the main piece going back to the Dallas Mavericks in this particular NBA trade scenario. He is an elite shooter and could be an excellent complement to Tim Hardaway Jr. on the other side of the perimeter.
The Mavericks would also get Robert Woodard II and Damien Jones as sweeteners. Doing so helps them to have enough players after moving three contracts to the Sacramento Kings.
Dallas would have to part ways with some of their younger assets in this deal, and Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber would lead the way back to the Kings.
The Mavericks would also have to send back a second-round pick in next year’s draft to get the deal done. Hield’s contract makes him substantially less appealing of a trade option for teams to consider, which is why the draft compensation wouldn’t be significant.

There isn’t much room for Hield with the Kings going forward. It’s clear that Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell are the future on the perimeter alongside De’Aaron Fox. Hield just hasn’t quite worked out since signing his contract extension.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Buddy Hield would impact both the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings.
