Coming off back-to-back seasons in which they missed the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors are not only looking to prove that they are one of the best teams in the NBA but a team that can make it back to the NBA Finals to contend for their fourth title in the last eight seasons.

From 2015-19, the Golden State Warriors made the NBA Finals every single season and were “the team to beat” in the league.

However, in the 2019 NBA Finals, Kevin Durant tore his Achilles, and then left Golden State, and Klay Thompson tore his left ACL. Then, last offseason while rehabbing from his ACL injury, Thompson tore his right Achilles, forcing him to miss his second full season.

Along with a handful of other injuries, the Warriors just could not escape the injury bug, which has led to them not being the force they once were.

LATEST NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Ben Simmons Rejects 76ers’ Last-Ditch Effort To Salvage Relationship

With a reloaded roster and their stars finally healthy and rested, the Golden State Warriors finally have a chance to be a championship contender once again, however they are already dealing with some issues.

Andrew Wiggins is currently not vaccinated for COVID-19 and the NBA recently declined his request for a religious exemption, meaning that he is ineligible to play home games until he meets San Francisco’s vaccination requirement.

If Wiggins does not get vaccinated before the start of the season, he could not only miss home games, but he could wind up missing vital team practices and workouts. Will Golden State look to trade Andrew Wiggins now before this becomes a long-term problem for them?

Many teams around the league may not be interested in the young wing because of this issue, but at the same time, a team like the Raptors could be interested in dealing with the Warriors.

Golden State was interested in acquiring another All-Star during the offseason and one name that kept coming up was Pascal Siakam. With Kyle Lowry now gone in Toronto, nobody really knows if the Raptors are going to be “buyers” or “sellers” this offseason, but the Warriors could definitely give them a ton of future value for Siakam right now.
