The Golden State Warriors acquired Andrew Wiggins and a 2021 first-round draft pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman on February 6th, 2020. Ever since then, people around the NBA have wondered when will Wiggins be on the move again?

Acquiring Wiggins never seemed to be a long-term plan for the Warriors. The chance to add that first-round pick, which conveyed this year and ended up being No. 7 overall, was the key factor in making that deal.

The former Jayhawk did start turning things around with the Warriors. Being surrounded by better players on the roster and with a stronger coaching staff started to bring out the potential everyone saw in Wiggins when he was selected first overall in 2014.

He began performing as the two-way wing many expected him to be. He made a career-high 38 percent of his 3-point attempts and started playing defense at a higher level as well.

That should only expand his trade market, which is a good thing for the Warriors. Recently, Golden State executive Kirk Lacob was brutally honest about Wiggin’s future with the team, as he wouldn’t commit to keeping him long-term.

Now, factoring in the refusal from Wiggins to take the COVID-19 vaccination despite the city of San Francisco requiring it for athletes to participate in training sessions and home games, the topic of the Warriors looking to move him has ramped up.

If the plan was to always stack Wiggins with their other assets to try and land another impact player to keep their championship window, now is the time to do it.

Here are three targets the Warriors should consider looking to land Wiggins for.
