Trajectory For 2021-22 NBA Season

The Eastern Conference as a whole did improve a lot this offseason, as the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics all made some big moves to better their roster, so there is little room for error to make the playoffs in this conference, but the Cavaliers do actually have a chance to make the play-in tournament if they can start the season strong.

They have a very talented starting unit with Garland, Sexton, Okoro, Mobley, and Allen, and with Rubio, Markkanen, Valentine, Pangos, and others on their bench, there is no reason why Cleveland cannot exceed the expectations placed on them by the media.

When Scotto asked Garland about the potential of making the playoffs, Garland said, “In our locker room, our expectations are to make the playoffs. The league is very balanced this year, so it’s going to be tough, but I think we’ve got the guys and the mindset to do it.”

After winning just 60 games the last three seasons, many are anticipating the Cavaliers to once again miss the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season, but this young core definitely has other ideas.
