The Phoenix Suns fell just short of winning the 2021 NBA Championship, losing in six games to the Milwaukee Bucks. They won the first two games of the series but were unable to stop the Bucks once they got going, as they won four straight to close the Suns out.
But, the Suns lost a lot more than just a series against the Bucks. Their frontcourt depth for the 2021-22 season also took a major hit when Dario Saric got injured in the NBA Finals.
Saric tore the ACL in his right knee in the first quarter of Game 1. It left the Suns short-handed in the frontcourt, as Saric is a versatile big man that can play either power forward or center. Frank Kaminsky took over some of his minutes and was re-signed in free agency to help shore things up.
Veteran JaVale McGee was also signed in free agency as another capable frontcourt player. While a lot of focus has been on the frontcourt, and rightfully so, the Suns also have another sneaky need on the wing.

If they are going to use players such as Cameron Johnson and Jae Crowder more at the power forward spot, they could use some help backing up Devin Booker and Mikal Bridges at shooting guard and small forward.
One player they could take a shot on is Cam Reddish of the Atlanta Hawks. Reddish was reportedly on the trade block this summer and would be a high upside addition to their second unit.
What could a swap between the Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks look like? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical deal.
