The Sacramento Kings have long been known to be one of the NBA’s worst teams, as they have missed the playoffs for 15 consecutive seasons now, soon-to-be a record-breaking 16th season, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are not far behind them.

Since the 2004-05 season, Minnesota had gone 485-865 (35.9%) with just one winning season during the 2017-18 season, the only time they had made the playoffs since 2004 when they were in the NBA Finals.

Every year, there are expectations that the Timberwolves could finally make some progress as an organization, especially with former No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns being their best player. Still, year after year, disappointment is all that comes from the Timberwolves’ season.

Now, with D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards in the mix, Minnesota has a chance to become relevant again finally, but they still have some significant holes on their roster.

Their starting unit of Russell, Beasley, Edwards, McDaniels, and Towns looks strong and has much potential on paper, but the rest of their roster is very lackluster.

Patrick Beverley and Taurean Prince are two key veteran additions for this team to try and help them improve defensively on their bench. However, Josh Okogie, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaylen Nowell are all younger players still growing.
