OG Anunoby – Toronto Raptors
Another player on the Raptors roster who could be of interest to the 76ers is OG Anunoby. Getting ready to begin his 5th season in the NBA, Anunoby is coming off a career year in which he averaged 15.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.7 blocks, and he shot 39.8% from three-point range.
He is a player to watch in the “Most Improved Player race,” and given his abilities to play on the perimeter or in the post, Anunoby could fit in nicely next to Embiid and Harris.
Finding reliable, young wings with high-level potential in today’s NBA is rare and is something every team is looking to do.
Sacrificing Ben Simmons in a trade package that lands the 76ers OG Anunoby is not a bad idea at all because he is just as impactful of a defender, and Anunoby is a much better offensive threat right now, at least as a shooter on the perimeter.

His 6’7” frame allows him to guard virtually 1-4 on the court, and unlike many trade proposals for Simmons, the 76ers would not get worse defensively.
Ben Simmons is a terrific defender in his own right, but as a team, the Sixers may actually improve defensively with the addition of Anunoby because of his versatility and quickness to impact the game in transition as well.
Much like Pascal Siakam, the Raptors have not expressed interest in moving their young combo-forward, but if they truly do want Ben Simmons, then they would likely much rather sacrifice Anunoby than Siakam.

In terms of upside, value, and immediate production, the 76ers make out well in a trade to acquire OG Anunoby, but he should not be their only trade target in a potential Simmons trade over the next few weeks.
